How do I find non-print materials in the library (videos, CDs, and DVDs)?

Answer

When searching the catalogue the following terms are useful

  • Videorecording - Add this term to a general keyword search (or Title Keyword) to retrieve videocassettes. These items can be found in the Pacific Collection (Laucala)
  • Sound recording - Audiocassettes, compact disks and other sound recordings are identified by this keyword phrase. These items can also be found in the Pacific Collection (Laucala)
  • Electronic resource - DVDs, VCDs, CD-ROMs, online journals and other types of digital media are identified by this keyword phrase.

Our DVD Collection is now available to browse on Level C of the Laucala library (at the top of the stairs turn right and you'll see them).  To borrow an item simply take the empty DVD case down to the Main Issue Desk and staff will issue the DVD to you.
