Q. How do I place an interlibrary loan request?

Answer

Items not held by the USP Library (or items which are missing) may be obtained through the Library's Interlibrary Loan service. This service is "library to library"; USP borrows the item directly from another library on behalf of the USP patron. The lending institution may impose shorter loan periods or other conditions upon the loaned material.

Undergraduate: F$7 per request up to max 5, any request thereafter full cost

Postgraduate: F$40

Staff: F$40 per request or actual cost if higher

External Borrowers: F$40 per request or actual cost if higher

There is no charge for obtaining items missing from the Library, or for Pacific-related journal articles. USP staff and Post-graduate students may charge ILL requests to a votecode. Students and External Borrowers must pay the appropriate fee when submitting an ILL application. If the requested item is not available in Australia, costs may exceed F$40.
